Fabulous Fifties

Fabulous Fifties is an exposition in the “Gemeentemuseum” in The Hague, The Netherlands. A perfect exposition to get inspired and feel and experience the lifestyle and sense of fashion from that particular era. Filled with real vintage items dating from the 1950′s and more modern pieces and collections, such as a parts of the Prada (S/S ’12) and Louis Vuitton collections, that were inspired on this indeed very fabulous era. If it were only about fashion and music I would do anything to live in the fabulous fifties, but I don’t have a timemachine and I must admit that 2012 has treated me good.

From a “Mad Men” set, to pastel-colored petticoats to Prada and Louis Vuittion. Prada left me astonished, as I had never seen the collection up close, which was even more gorgeous in real life. The embellished jacket and the yellow dress were my absolute favorites of this collection- but unfortunately I’m not man enough to rock a dress like that. The exposition was definitely very inspiring and a must-see for every fashionista or fashionisto living in or near The Hague or planning to go there anytime soon.
