Paris is always a good idea

I am almost ashamed to say that this was my first time in Paris. In the 18 years that I wandered this world, the closest I ever was to the city of lights was Disneyland Paris, which is not located in Paris at all. In the one day (!) that I’ve spent there, my Amelie fantasy, of biking and secretly helping people didn’t come true. But that gives me another reason to go back there again and spent a few days instead. I was a real tourist most of the day, visiting the Eiffel tower, the Sacre Coueur, the Champs-Élysées and much more – but with that being said I’m glad I saw most of it which means that I can spent my next trip to Paris visiting the small streets and shops. Almost shocking was that I only spent money on some food and the most amazing Harry Potter book (beautiful cover) at the amazing Shakespeare & Company store near the Notre Dame. For the ones that don’t know the store, it’s a book shop and semi-library (people were casually reading on couches and stuff, so I presume that’s what it is) with the most amazing English books and has an enormous amount of historical background when it comes to English literature.

Even though London is still my favorite city, I’m definitely going back to Paris to check out the small alleyways and, if even possible, avoid the tourist madness.
